One makes tea. One makes coffee. One dog named Picard.
We started AnyKey IT because we were frustrated with
how IT support was sold to small businesses, bloated
contracts, faceless call centres, technicians who'd
never met you before and definitely wouldn't stick
around.
We do the opposite.
When you call us, you speak to us. When something
breaks, we know your setup. When you need advice,
we give you our honest opinion, not the one that
makes us the most money.

How we got here.
1994–2009
The apprenticeship years
Between us, we cut our teeth across IT support desks, repair benches, network rooms and server racks across London. Dial-up modems, Windows 3.1, ISDN lines, the dotcom bubble, we've seen it all and fixed most of it.
2010
AnyKey IT founded, Hackney Wick
Started as a two-person operation out of a small workshop in E9. Early clients were local small businesses and residents who needed honest IT support without enterprise pricing.
2013
First managed IT contracts
Expanded beyond break-fix into managed IT support for local businesses. Started building long-term relationships rather than one-off jobs, the model that defines us today.
2016
Workshop expands, repairs go full-time
Growing demand for physical repairs led to a dedicated workshop space. Mac support, data recovery and screen replacements became a core part of the business alongside the managed services work.
2019
Picard joins the team
A rescue dog of unknown breed and considerable opinion joins the Hackney Wick office. Immediately takes on the role of Chief Morale Officer. Has yet to fix a single laptop but morale remains high.
Now
Still two technicians. Deliberately.
We've been asked about scaling up. We keep coming back to the same answer, the value we provide is that you know us and we know you. That's hard to scale. So we stay small and stay excellent.

Managed IT runs in the background. Most days that means patching schedules, Microsoft 365 admin, monitoring dashboards and the occasional infrastructure project. If it's a quiet day for our managed clients, we've done our job right.
repairs
Open chassis. Anti-static mats. Tea.
The repair bench is where the satisfying work happens, Mac logic boards, cracked screens, dead drives, ransomware triage. Most of what comes in is something other shops have already given up on. We rather enjoy that.
